Anita Owen

ParaEquestrian Judge Anita OwenAnita Owen was born in Stockholm, Sweden and has been involved in dressage and eventing as a rider, coach and judge throughout her life.

She was affiliated with Hilltop Farm in Colora, Maryland from 1995 – 2006

Anita’s judging assignments have taken her through the US, Canada, Mexico, Central & South America and Europe.

She has judged numerous USEF National and Regional Dressage Finals as well as PanAm Selection Trials in the US and Mexico.

Anita has also judged Championships in Eventing and Dressage Driving and she is the co-author of “Manual for Driven Dressage”.

Anita is a ParaEquestrian “O” judge and she judged the World Championships in Dressage for physically disabled riders in Morsele, Belgium 2003, the Paralympics in Athens, Greece 2004, the First International Festival of Dressage Morsele, Belgium 2006 and the first ParaEquestrian Dressage Championship CPD11* Sao Paulo, Brazil 2006 and the World Championships ParaEquestrian Competition in Hartpury, Great Britain 2007.

Anita is currently a member of the US ParaEquestrian High Performance Committee.
